The lava lava, also called a sarong, is a large piece of fabric handcrafted with bold, bright, and sometimes handmade, patterns. The item of clothing is Polynesian but the name is Samoan. The lava lava is worn by men and women as a traditional item of clothing in the Pacific Islands, but it is often seen gracing the bodies of beach-goers throughout the world. The lava lava is ideal for the beach because of the lightweight and colorful fabric. Therefore, the next time you visit a beach or pool, tie a lava lava on for a chic cover-up.
Instructions

Hold the lava lava behind your back with one hand on either corner. The "wrong" side will be facing your back. The "right" side of the lava lava will be facing outward.
2Center the lava lava at the center of your lower back. Pull the lava lava with your right hand so two-thirds of the lava lava is on the right side of your back, and one-third is on the left side of your back.
3Wrap your left hand around to your right hip, keeping the lava lava taut.
