Setting Instructions for Citizen Women's Watches

Citizen Watch was founded in the late 1910's, originally imagined to be a watch "Close to the Hearts of People Everywhere," according to CitizenWatch.com. Citizen prides itself on creating affordable and elegant watches that appeal to a worldwide market. Setting a Citizen watch is simple, but requires understanding how to adjust the crown, as well as how to make sure that your watch is still properly sealed against water.

Instructions

Attempt to pull the crown (the small knob on the outside of the watch body, close to the 3 o'clock position) two clicks away from the watch body. If it does not pull out, unscrew the crown counter-clockwise to release the watertight seal before pulling it out.

Turn the crown clockwise until the date changes. This indicates that 12 is currently showing midnight. Continue to turn the crown clockwise to set the current time. Push the crown towards the watch until it clicks once.

Turn the crown counter-clockwise to adjust the date forwards. Push the crown towards the watch until it clicks once.

Screw the crown back into the watch in a clockwise direction (if this model required being unscrewed).
