If you spend a lot of time in the cold, you understand the importance of keeping your ears warm. Failing to protect your ears can result in frostnip, causing your outermost extremities, like fingers, nose and ears to become red and tingly in cold weather, reports the Nemours Foundation for Health. Unlike bulky earmuffs or hats, ear warmer headbands offer a fashionable and comfortable solution to keeping your ears toasty in cooler weather. Ear warmer headbands can be made from fleece, knit, wool or synthetic fabrics and easily slide behind your ears as a cloth headband when indoors, for a quick transition between cold and warm climates.
Instructions
- 1
Place each hand on either side of your ear warmer headband. Stretch the band gently over your head and around your neck. It you have long hair, let it hang free by pulling it over the back of the band.
2Rotate the band so that the wider portion of material is aligned with your ears. Using your front two hands, slide the top of the band from your neck up to your forehead. Pull the lower portion of the band forward so that it covers your ears.
3Slide the portion of the band that covers your ears back behind your them when you go inside. The headband should now appear as a thick, cloth headband, resting behind your ears and on the edge of your upper hairline on your forehead.
