How to Wear a Pashmina Triangle

Pashmina shawls and scarves hit the New York fashion scene in the late 1990s and have remained hot ever since. A type of cashmere, pashmina is soft, comfortable and can be worn in a loose and airy style that is both cozy and stylish. You can buy pashmina shawls in a number of patterns and shapes, one of the most popular being the triangle.

Instructions

Ready your shawl. Lay the shawl in front of you and flatten any wrinkles with your palms. Also straighten or unknot any fringe that may have gotten wrinkled.

Drape it. Keep the front of the shawl facing away from you as you gently drape the triangle down your chest. You will feel like you are wearing the shawl backwards because you are.

Tie and loop the ends in back. Bunch the edges above your shoulders until the triangle's tip hangs right at your breastbone. Loosely twist the edges to keep them bunched and loosely tie them behind your head, leaving enough length to loop around your front.

Tie and loop the ends in front. Bring the ends of the scarf back up front above your triangle shape and loosely knot into place. You may need to fluff up your triangle so it blends with the loosely knotted ends.
