However, with wear and tear, the coating can begin to peel off, giving the glasses a strange appearance. If you would like to have a new coating put on your eyeglasses, you first need to remove the old one, which is an easy task to do.

Place 1/8 cup baking soda in a small bowl. Add 1/8 cup water and mix it with a fork until the baking soda is completely dissolved.
2Place a quarter size amount of paste on each lens with a rubber spatula. Rub it on the glass in a circular motion with a soft cloth.
3Rinse the glass off with water and check if the coating is gone. Apply another coat of paste on the eyeglasses if some coating remains. Rub it in and rinse it off. Repeat this process until the coating is completely removed.
