How to Remove the Armband on the Ivory Swatch

Swatch watches are young and fun time-pieces that have attracted a world-wide following for their striking, colorful designs. The Swatch Ivory bracelet watch combines stainless steel with polished square links inlaid with white synthetic resin shaped like flowers.

Replacement bands for the watch are available. However, the Swatch watches are a bit different from most brands in that the rod that attaches the band to the watch face is usually hidden. But, with a few minutes of patience and a small pin, safety pin of paperclip, you can locate the interior rod, remove it and detach the arm band.

Instructions

Locate the small hole on each side of the band that holds the rod in place. Swatch watches have only this small hole to hint at how they are held together.

Push the pin, safety pin or paperclip into the hole until it engages the interior rod. The pin you use needs to be small enough in diameter to go into the hole yet strong enough so that it does not bend when it engages the rod.

Remove the rod when it is visible. The band will then be completely separate from the watch face.
