How to Remove Links on Chanel Ceramic Watches

A number of the watches produced by the fashion house Chanel come with wristbands constructed from ceramic links. If you want to adjust the length of the wristband, you must remove some of these links, which you can accomplish using basic household tools. You can then size the watch for a person with a smaller wrist. You should hold on to the links if you ever want to make the strap longer again.

Instructions

Put the watch on your wrist, and close the watch clasp. Pinch the watch strap so that the watch sits snugly and comfortably on your wrist. The number of links held in the pinch is the number that you need to remove.

Push a pin into the hole on one side of a link. Pull the other end of the holding pin out of the other side with a pair of pliers. Repeat this step on the other side of the link, and slide the link off. Remove as many links as you need to.

Realign the ends of the watch strap. Push the holding pins back in to secure the links together. Put the watch on your wrist, and close the clasp to test the fit.
