A kinetic watch tells time. However, it is has many differences in comparison to a regular watch. The biggest difference is the power it uses to tell time.

Power

A regular watch runs off of battery power. A kinetic watch runs off of body movement, which is known as kinetic energy.

Built-in Sensor

A kinetic watch has a built-in sensor that tells if the watch has been idle for at least a day. A regular watch doesn't have this capability.

Suspended Animation

If the kinetic watch has been idle for a day, it will automatically shut itself off. This is called suspended animation. Shake your wrist to turn the watch back on. A regular watch doesn't have this feature.

Power Reserve Indicator

A kinetic watch has a power reserve indicator that displays how much energy is stored in the watch. A kinetic watch can store up to six months worth of energy. Regular watches do not have this ability.

Saves Money and the Environment

A kinetic watch saves money because you don't have to replace batteries. Also, a kinetic watch uses kinetic energy, which makes it environmentally friendly.
