The term "pashmina" refers to a scarf, shawl or wrap made of a particular sort of wool. Pashmina wool comes from Himalayan goats and is hand spun and woven. It's soft and fine, and is essentially very high quality cashmere. Pashiminas also happen to be a popular Hollywood fashion. There are many different ways of wearing a pashmina scarf.

Instructions

    1

Wrap the pashmina around your waist or hips.

    2

Roll the pashmina down onto itself where it overlaps. This holds it in place.

    3

Tie a small knot in the corners of the pashmina to hold it up on your hips if you need extra assurance that it won't fall.

The noose wrap

    4

Fold your pashmina in half lengthwise. Then bring the two ends together to form a loop.

    5

Lay the folded pashmina across the back of your neck so that the two loose ends drape over one shoulder and the looped portion drapes over the other shoulder.

    6

Tuck the loose ends of the pashmina through the looped portion of the pashmina and arrange this "knot" to your liking.

Twined

    7

Lay two pashminas out side by side.

    8

    Fold each pashmina once, lengthwise.

    9

    Twine the two pashminas together.

    10

Drape the twined pashminas loosely around your neck.

Shawl style

    11

Wrap the pashmina around your shoulders.

    12

Fold the pashmina once lengthwise, if you so desire, to turn it into a shorter shawl. Then wrap it around your shoulders.

    13

Experiment with how different colors and styles of pashmina alter your look when worn as a shawl.
