Brittle and breaking nails have unfortunately become a common part of modern life and may in fact be a symptom of a larger health problem. Stress is often the culprit and we cannot always alleviate all the symptoms. Even so, proper nail care and acrylic nails can help hide the effects of stress while adding fashionable flair and charm. Designing your own can give your wardrobe a touch of your style or even allow you to start your own business.
Instructions

Design the nail pattern in the shape of the acrylic nail, filling in the colors and lines.
2Write down all the colors in your design in the order that they will appear, from most used to least used. So for a black nail with blue daisies and white teardrops, you would write 1) black 2) blue 3) white.
3Mount the nail onto the acrylic nail stand with the sticky tack.
4Paint the colors on the nail in numerical order. You can either freehand the designs or use nail stencils to achieve the designs you want. Allow the paint to dry completely in between colors, and rinse the brush thoroughly.
5Glue any jewels or rhinestones on the acrylic nail after paint has dried for at least three hours.
6Examine the fully painted nail to check for touch ups or modifications.
7Apply the topcoat to the nail and allow to dry completely.
8Place the completed nail in the nail or jewelry box to keep it safe until use.
