The lifestyle brand Tokidoki exploded once artist Simone Legno lent his cute illustrations and prints to the American accessories brand LeSportsac. Since the two companies started their successful collaboration in 2006, LeSportsac's Tokidoki line has been synonymous with fun, casual luxury. With this success, and the line's high price tag, fake bags are almost inevitable. However, with a good eye and a long study of the bag's hardware and coloration details, you can easily spot a fake in your hands or in a picture.

Examine the color of the bag. Tokidoki designs are all about highly saturated color. If the color looks faded, you're looking at a fake. If the color is bleeding outside the lines, you're looking at a fake.
2Check the tags and logos inside and outside the bag. Tokidoki tags are stitched with metallic thread; fakes are stitched with white thread. Authentic Tokidoki bags are made in China, but fakes will often say "Made in the USA." Dismiss bags that say "ProSport" or "Flowers Spring." Those labels are key to identifying a fake.
3Compare the fabrication to that of a real Tokidoki bag by looking online or examining the real Tokidoki in person. The characters printed on the bag are often placed incorrectly and are frequently on papery nylon that is far below LeSportsac standards. The straps used on fakes are also below standard, missing the LeSportsac stamp.
4Pay attention to the hardware on the bag. Zippers should have "riri" and "M6" engraved on them. When the zipper on the style is meant to be multicolored, the color of the fake will be incorrect or undersaturated. Carabiners attached to the bags should have LeSportsac stamped on both sides. Fakes will only have it on one side to cut production cost.
5Brush up on the prints and styles available. Fakes are often produced in prints, styles and sizes that never existed. If you arm yourself with knowledge of the product you're buying, you can easily recognize deviations from the Tokidoki style.
6Ask your seller for pictures of tags and product numbers if you're buying a bag from an online auction site like eBay. Fakes often have nonexistent product numbers. The tag placed on the bag will frequently not match the style or print of the bag.
