How to Tie a Jerusalem Twist Scarf

Wearing a head scarf gives you several different options for ways to tie it to your head. From the simple ponytail to the more elaborate braid, changing your scarf is much like styling your hair. It keeps your hair out of your face and provides a bit of coverage to your face. Tying a Jerusalem twist follows the basic scarf-tying method but with a few changes. Pick out a decorative scarf and try it yourself.

Instructions

Fold the scarf in half so it forms a triangle.

Lay the folded scarf over your head so the long, folded part is at the front of your head, flush with your forehead. The triangle opposite the fold will be at the back of your head.

Take the other two triangle ends and pull them toward the back of your head.

Tie these ends together at the back of your head, over the loose triangle end. Pull it tight but comfortable.

Bring one end back around to the front of your head and twist it. Lay it across the front of your head scarf. Hold onto this end and bring the other end around the opposite side in the same manner.

Tuck the ends into each other at about your temples to secure the scarf.
