How to Use Breast Petals

Breast petals are a fashion accessory meant for instances when women are unable, or unwilling, to wear a bra. Breast petals cover the nipple and areola in order to preserve modesty. Breast petals were developed in the 1930s in order to censor portions of the body and prevent total nudity. Today they serve a similar purpose by limiting exposure of the body and are generally used as undergarments for swimwear, formal dresses, and revealing tops that may not provide enough back coverage for wearing a full bra.

Instructions

Wash and dry your body to ensure the petal's sticking surface is clean.

Peel the backing off the breast petal, or apply the adhesive if the petals are reusable.

Center the petal over the nipple and apply light pressure until it sticks.

To remove, gently pull the petal off the breast. If any adhesive remains, use rubbing alcohol or baby oil to remove it.
