How to Re-Glue Swarovski

Swarovski crystals are not used only for jewelry anymore; you can use them to enhance other objects as well. Bedazzling a phone or musical device makes the item more attractive and distinctive. Many companies have begun to apply crystals to their products, but sometimes a crystal will come loose and fall off of the objects surface. Luckily, reapplying Swarovski crystals is so simple, it can be done with ease.

Instructions

Purchase the correct type of glue. Normal all-purpose glue does not have a strong enough adhesive to hold Swarovski crystals to a surface. You can find a good glue for crystals, like E6000, at your local arts and crafts store or online.

Clean the surface. In order to re-glue Swarovski crystals, you should remove as much of the old glue as possible and make certain there is no dust or dirt that might interfere with adhesion.

Puncture the top of the unopened glue bottle with a pin. Next, carefully place a dab of glue on the back of the Swarovski crystal, then place it on the desired surface. If you are working with smaller crystals, you might want to use a cotton swab or toothpick to apply the glue.

Place the crystals. You can place larger crystals using your hand, but if you are working with smaller crystals, it's best to use a tool, such as tweezers, to help you place and position them onto the surface. Once you are done placing all of your crystals, you can start the drying process.

Wait for it to dry. If you wish for the crystals to dry more quickly, however, you can place the crystal-encrusted surface under a fan or use a hair dryer, adjusted to the cool setting.
