The Best Cross Body Bags

A cross body bag is no different so choose a bag in black, tan or brown leather to match your current seasonal style. A good rule of thumb is to match up your accessories. For example, if you like to step out in brown leather boots, then go for a brown body bag. If you dress in denim regularly, then you can choose any shade of leather because it suits blue so well. The College Fashion website claims that a bright-colored body bag is best for those who want to show off their natural curves. Because cross body bags are made to hip and waist lengths, the smaller bags are more likely to show off more of your figure. Similarly, a brightly-colored bag will draw more attention to the hips. However, don't go too overboard in picking a color; too much can ruin your overall style and make your outfit look messy and confused. Instead, experiment with colors such as pink, red or turquoise. Designers such as Whiting & Davis and Rebecca Minkoff are known to produce cross body bags covered with color, shine and glitter.

A more-practical cross body bag is best if you have a little more to carry than most. Like a messenger bag, this type has more pockets, pouches and zips for you to store those extra items. Just because a bag is more practical does not mean that it has to be less stylish. For example, look for body bags with different types of pouch openings, e.g. buckles, belts, zips or buttons. Similarly, customize your bag by adding some charms to the zip holes. The Chic Fashionista site also adds that messenger-type bags are "quite practical when you need to carry different things in one place without having to opt for a regular handbag, which will only distract your arm and hands."
