How to Tie a Headscarf in the Dutch Crown Style

The Dutch crown is a simple, yet elegant way to tie a headscarf that is also more secure than other ties. Its the perfect accessory to cover your hair for longer functions because it's less likely to fall before youre ready to untie it.

Instructions

First, lay the rectangular scarf evenly over the middle of your head, allowing the ends of the scarf to fall over your shoulders at even lengths.

Gently twist the two hanging ends of the scarf as you hold them between your fingers so the twist doesnt fall out.

Now bring both ends forward over the top of your head, creating a band and tie them once, just above your hairline.

Tuck the two tails of the scarf over and under the band you created, alternately.

Tuck the two ends securely into the band.
