A hooded jacket can take you through the cooler seasons with warmth and style. With the large variety of different hooded jacket styles, fabrics and colors, the options are endless when you add a hooded jacket to an outfit. Finish off your designer look by pairing a winter scarf with a hooded jacket. Mix and match the colors, designs and patterns to create a bold or an understated look that you can enjoy wearing.
Instructions
- 1
Select a hooded jacket in a color and style you like. For most fashion options, use a hooded jacket in a solid color to complement your other outfit pieces. For example, if you wear a black hooded jacket with khaki pants or jeans, you can then dress up the solid black with a colorful winter scarf. Another option might be wearing a grey or beige hooded jacket with your khakis or jeans.
2Zip the hooded jacket all the way up to your neck and leave the hood down around the back of your neck.
3Select a bold and colorful winter scarf. Choose a scarf with colors that you are wearing in the hooded jacket or your pants to bring out these colors, if you wish, but this is not mandatory. You can also select a winter scarf in colors completely different from colors you are already wearing for an exciting combination.
4Find the center of the scarf and place the center point at the center front of your neck. Position the scarf center at the zipper of the hooded jacket.
5Pull the ends of the scarf around to the back of your neck under the hood of the jacket. Cross the scarf ends once and bring them back around to the front of the jacket.
6Leave the ends of the scarf loose and simply hanging down the front of the hooded jacket as one way to wear the scarf. Another option involves tying the scarf in a loose double knot at the front center over the hooded jacket zipper. After tying the scarf in a knot, allow the ends of the scarf to hang down over the zipper of the jacket.
