An "O ring" belt or ring belt is a classic of the 60's, 70's soft clothing movement. Worn both by men and women, it went perfectly with soft cotton drawstring pants and a peasant shirt or men's loose, puffy shirts. Their easy fit to any size has kept them a staple in the fashion world. Ring belts come in all weights of fabric, and are even found in leather. The key to wearing an ring belt is simply knowing how to put it on.
Instructions
- 1
Put the belt around your waist or hips, through any belt loops if applicable, and have the one side with rings and the other end in the front.
2Place the end of the belt through both rings of the belt.
3Secure the belt to where it is comfortable and fits the style you want and pull it securely.
4Take the end of the belt and double back through the first ring. This creates a slipknot, using rings instead of rope, which will hold the belt tightly in place.
5Pull until the fit of the belt is just right.
